Hip Roofs

How to set up a hip roof

For hip roofs, courses of Onduline sheets or tiles must be trimmed along each side of the hip so that the courses support the ridge capping installed over the hip.  To determine if you have the proper coverage at the hip, measure the width of the capping, divide by two, and measure the result from each side of the center of the hip.  Use these marks to snap chalk lines on each side of the hip.
